The Military Spouse Business Association provides information about small business loans to military spouses that would like to start their own business. The Patriot Express Loan is a loan that is available to active duty military, veterans and their spouses. I called and talked to Mr. William Elmore who is the Associate Administrator of Veterans Business Development for the Small Business Administration. He gives me the statistics for the amount of loans that were given to military families for the last year. The break down is 15% of the loans in the last year went to military spouses and 27% went to military (active duty, reserves and veterans). This is an outstanding amount of military families that have received business loans. If you would like to learn about the Patriot Express loan click here.
In early October Rikki networked with Navy Federal and MWR at NAS Oceana for both All In One Desktops and M
SBA. Rikki will be helping fellow military spouses start their own business. MWR at NAS Oceana would like to offer a class, to help answer questions for military spouses, who would like to start their own business. I will keep you informed on the progress of this.

Helpful Tips
How often do you backup your computer? Did you know that the rule of thumb is to backup at least once a month. This does change depending on how often you use the computer and what you store on it. If you use the computer for surfing the Internet and an occasional document then you backup once a month. If you use your computer for work or school you should back it up once a week.
Last month we talked about how often you defrag your computer. If you schedule or manually do a defrag once a week then backup the computer on the same day. It is easier to do everything on the same day so you don't have to remember to defrag one day and backup on another.
Salutations
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
